Stan attended an engineering program at the Omega Studios School of Applied Recording Arts and Science in Rockville, Maryland, after receiving his business degree from Howard University.
“It totally opened up my eyes to a new way of looking at sound,” says Stan. “Since I have a background in music production, it’s a lot easier for me to collaborate with the artist and producer in helping create their vision for a song which ultimately, helps create a great mix that everyone enjoys!”
Stan worked at one of the most renowned studios in Los Angeles – Larrabee Recording Studios in North Hollywood, CA., and worked as a mix assistant to Manny Marroquin. After interning and assisting for over 2 years at Larrabee, Stan decided it was time to step out on his own and pursue engineering head on.
Since his departure from Larrabee, Stan has gone on to mix records on projects such as Rihanna’s multi-platinum and Billboard #1 album “Anti”, Big Sean’s multi-platinum and Billboard #1 album “Dark Sky Paradise”, Wale’s Billboard #1 album “The Album About Nothing”, O.T. Genasis’s multi-platinum smash hit singles “CoCo”, “Cut It”, and "Push It', Jaden Smith's multi-platinum single "Icon", Snoop Dogg, Kris Wu, Busta Rhymes and many more!
